Investment
We’re the kind of consultancy that wants you to feel good about your investment when we’re done working together. With a focus on relationships, we hope we’ll have the chance to work together for the long term. We usually start with a free meeting to learn about your goals, and then put together a first draft proposal based on your needs and budget.
Depending on the scope of the project, investments can range from $2,000 to tens of thousands of dollars. We can divide the work into sections to work within your budget, and we do consider the size and complexity of the organization in our proposals.

From needs assessments to business cases, we work together to design a program or whole-organization approach that will get to the root causes of what's holding people back. We can engage the community, leverage staff feedback, and bring policy and evidence in to support your plans. This leaves you with a well-documented program plan that's easy to talk about with funders and donors, helps staff and management understand their roles, and helps you engage participants with support.

We use collaborative, capacity building approaches to help you learn about the work that you're doing, and to make sure what we learn is useful. Each evaluation plan is custom designed for the needs of your organization or project. Our favourite projects are ones where we can learn across programs, building knowledge for program improvement and system change.

Our goal is to help you transform your organization and the systems you work in to be more impactful and equitable.
We recognize that some organizations have more ability to pay for consulting services than others. Larger organizations also tend to have more complex systems and processes, and we’ve designed a suite of services that reflect these differences. How do we define this?
Small (and mighty) Non-Profit: Your organization brings in less than $1M in annual revenue, or you are led by and support groups who have historically been underfunded. We take a collaborative, empowering approach.
Mid-Large Non-Profit: Your organization has over $1M a year in revenue with more access to mainstream funding. You’ve already got systems and processes in place, so we’ll take care to adapt instead of reinvent where possible.
Public Sector: We like working at the system level, too. Often learning and data collection systems are in place, but don’t necessarily communicate across departments (or even projects). We’ll bring solutions that honour complexity.
